ScreenplayPreview, print or save a PDF
Check the pages before printing and print or save them from the preview.
Before you start
- The Export Screenplay dialog is open.
Steps
Click Preview….
The Print Preview dialog opens on top of the page.
Look at the page on the left and the PREVIEW SETTINGS on the right.
The title shows the screenplay and draft. The settings are Title page, Page numbers, Revision info and Include notes. Arrows step through pages, and the label shows where you are, for example Title page · 1 of 4. A line under the buttons says changing these settings affects only the outgoing document, never the screenplay itself.
Click the plus button next to Zoom 100% to enlarge the preview, or the minus to shrink it.
The picture shows Zoom 125%. Zoom changes only the preview.
Clear Title page to see the script without it.
The first page is now page 1 of the script, with the scene number in both margins.
Click Print to print, or Export PDF to save a PDF.
Back to Export Options returns to the Export Screenplay dialog and Close closes the preview.
What you get
You checked the pages and printed them or saved a PDF.
Watch out for
- Changes made in the preview apply to that printout only. To change the screenplay's own title page or header, use Title page and Page setup.
