Screenplay

Fill in the title page

Set the title, credit, contact and copyright lines that print on the first page.

Beginner4 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • A screenplay is open and you can edit it.

Steps

  1. Click View and more and choose Title page….

Title page… is below Spelling and languages… in the View menu.

  2. Fill in the fields on the left. Watch the preview of the title page on the right.

Title * is required. Written by and Credit line set the credit, and an empty Credit line prints Written by. Based on is for optional source material. Draft, Revision and Date fill the draft information, and an empty Draft uses the draft name and an empty Revision uses the open revision's label and colour. Contact name, Address, Phone, Email, Other contact details and Representation (agent or manager) are your contact lines. Notes on the title page and Copyright finish the page.

  3. If you clear Title *, Save turns pale and cannot be clicked. Type a title again.

The preview on the right keeps showing the last title until you type a new one.

  4. Choose whether to print it with Include the title page when exporting and printing, then click Save.

Cancel closes the dialog without a change. The same switch is also in Page setup.

What you get

The title page is saved with this screenplay and appears in Page view, Print Preview and exports.

Watch out for

  • The title page belongs to the screenplay, not to the project. Another screenplay has its own.
