Moodboards

Add a note to a board

Write a short text note that sits on the canvas, with the option to keep it out of exports.

Beginner3 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • A moodboard is open.

Steps

  1. Click Add note above the canvas. In the Add note dialog, type your text in the Note * box.

Note * is required. The box suggests the kind of thing to write, for example cold, wet, blue-grey light. Below it, the check box Internal note, left out of exports unless selected keeps this note for the team: it shows in blue on the board and is left out of the PDF unless you choose to include internal notes when you export.

  2. If you click Add Note with the box empty, read the message Write the note first.

Type some text and click Add Note again. Cancel closes the dialog without adding a note.

  3. Click Add Note to put the note on the board.

A message says Added note. In the picture, the pale yellow tile reads Sodium orange at night, cyan before dawn. An internal note looks different: it is blue and starts with a small lock and the words Internal, left out of exports.

What you get

A note tile is on the board with your text.

Watch out for

  • A note needs text. An empty note is never saved.
  • Internal notes are left out of an exported PDF unless you tick Internal notes in the export dialog.
