Call sheets

Finalize a call sheet

Freeze a call sheet as the version you are sending.

Beginner4 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • A draft call sheet is open and its Crew call is filled in.

Steps

  1. In the Source panel, click Finalize…. This button is orange.

The dialog shows a summary before it freezes anything. You can also open it from the row menu in the list with Finalize.

  2. Read the Finalize call sheet dialog.

It asks Is this the version you are sending? with the status chip beside it. A box shows the title, the day and date, the Crew call, the number of scenes and the number of cast. Underneath, Final freezes this document as a snapshot. Later schedule changes mark it for a new revision but never change the final version. If some values still read Needs input, a line counts them, for example 12 values still read Needs input.

  3. Click Finalize. Cancel, or the x, closes the dialog and changes nothing.

The dialog closes and a message at the bottom says Finalized the call sheet with an Undo button.

  4. Look at the finished sheet.

The chip now says Final. The boxes are plain: nothing is editable. The Source panel now shows Start New Revision and Export PDF, plus the line Finalized with the date and time. Add Section, Refresh from schedule and Finalize… are gone.

What you get

The call sheet is Final and ready to export. It will not change again.

Watch out for

  • Items that read Needs input do not stop you from finalizing. Only an empty Crew call does. Read the count in the dialog before you click Finalize.
  • If you finalized too soon, click Undo in the message at the bottom right away, or use Start New Revision later.
