Call sheetsExport a call sheet as a PDF
Make the printable PDF you send to cast and crew.
Before you start
- A call sheet exists. For a sheet you are sending, finalize it first.
Steps
In the editor, click Export PDF in the Source panel.
The button is in the panel under Finalize…. It is also available on a final sheet.
Read the Export Call Sheet dialog.
It says Creates the PDF snapshot to send. The Source line names the sheet and its status, for example Call Sheet: Day 4 · Draft. FORMAT offers PDF printable snapshot, the only format, with a suggested file name made of the project name, the day and the date. Under OPTIONS, a box reads Include the added sections (weather, extras, department notes, advance schedule, crew, contacts, attachments, reference images), ticked by default. The note says Private notes excluded. Export does not change the shooting schedule. Finalize the call sheet before sending it.
Untick the box if you want a shorter PDF without the added sections, then click Export….
Cancel, or the x, closes the dialog without making a file. After Export…, a Windows window asks where to save the file and what to name it.
You can also export from the list: click Export on a row.
The same Export Call Sheet dialog opens, here for another sheet. Use this to export several sheets without opening each one.
What you get
A PDF of the call sheet is saved where you chose.
Watch out for
- A PDF of a draft is a snapshot of the draft. Finalize first so you send the version you mean to send. On a final sheet the note instead says the PDF is made from its frozen snapshot and never changes it.
- Printed and exported call sheets are black on white whatever theme you use in OpenFrame.
