Idea VaultFind your way around the Idea Vault
Know what each part of the Idea Vault page does and switch between the project vault and the Global vault.
Before you start
- A project is open.
Steps
Click Idea Vault in the left rail of a project that has no items yet.
A new vault is empty. The page says Start collecting anything about this film. and explains: This is where you throw anything about the film. Add a note, image, link, file, or voice note. You never have to decide what it is first. The side panel shows All items 0 and Pinned 0. Add and Record Note are in the middle of the page and in the toolbar.
Look at a vault that holds items.
The side panel on the left lists All items, Pinned, Recently added and Recently modified, then your collections, folders and tags with a count beside each. The items fill the main area. A pinned item sits at the top under PINNED, and the rest are under EVERYTHING ELSE.
Click Global at the left of the toolbar.
You are now in the Global Idea Vault. The badge reads Global and the line under the title says: Ideas across your whole filmmaking life. Copy them into a film when they are ready. The side panel shows the Global vault's own items, collections, folders and tags. Click This Project to go back.
What you get
You can tell which vault you are in and where the controls are.
Watch out for
- The Global and This Project buttons only show while a project is open. From Application Home you see the Global vault alone.
- Items in the two vaults are separate. Copying an item makes an independent copy.
