Start a new idea, scene card, character or other item without first going to the right section.
Before you start
- A project is open.
Steps
In the top bar, click the + button, called Create.
It is to the right of the search box. The same button is on every page of the project.
Choose what to create.
The CREATE menu lists New Idea (Ctrl+Shift+N), New Act, New Sequence, New Beat, New Scene Card (Ctrl+N), New Character, New Location, New Shot List, New Moodboard, Import Screenplay…, New Note, New Task and New Project…. New Project… starts the same New Project dialog as Application Home.
What you get
The item you chose is started, in the section where it belongs.
Watch out for
- Import Screenplay… opens the import dialog. See the Import a screenplay tutorials.
