Project window and navigation

Collapse the left rail for more room

Shrink the rail to icons so the page has more space, then bring it back.

Beginner4 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • A project is open.

Steps

  1. At the bottom of the left rail, click Collapse.

Its tooltip is Collapse the navigation.

  2. Look at the rail. It now shows only icons.

The page grows to use the space. The bottom button now says Expand the navigation. The icons keep the same order: Home, Idea Vault, Story, Screenplay, Breakdown, Production, Call Sheets and Files.

  3. Click an icon to go to a section, for example Files.

Project Files opens with the rail still collapsed. The page keeps all its own controls: New Folder, Add File, List and Grid, and a Search files box.

  4. Click Expand the navigation at the bottom of the rail to bring the labels back.

The rail returns to its full width.

What you get

You can switch between a roomy page and a rail with labels whenever you like.
