Project window and navigationUndo and redo a change in the project
Take back the last change anywhere in the project, and put it back if you change your mind.
Before you start
- You have made a change in the project, such as changing its status.
Steps
Right after a change, click Undo in the message at the bottom.
The message names what changed, for example Changed project status to Development.
Later, open the project menu and look at the EDIT section.
Undo names the last change, for example Undo Changed project status to Development, with Ctrl+Z. Click it, or press Ctrl+Z, to take that change back. Undo works across the whole project, one change at a time.
After undoing, read the message that appears.
It says Undid: Changed project status to Development. The status chip shows the old status again.
Open the project menu again. Redo now names the change you took back. Click it, or press Ctrl+Y, to put it back.
Redo (Ctrl+Y) names the change, for example Redo Changed project status to Development. Ctrl+Shift+Z does the same. The next change you make clears what could be redone.
What you get
A change is taken back with Undo and returns with Redo.
Watch out for
- Undo and Redo apply to the project, not only to the page you are on. Check the name shown in the menu before you click.
