Project window and navigation

Archive a project from its Home page and bring it back

Hide the open project from your recent list without deleting anything, and restore it.

Beginner5 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • A project is open on its Home page.

Steps

  1. Click the status chip, then click Archived at the bottom of the list.

Archived is below the other statuses. It hides the project from the recent list. Nothing is deleted.

  2. Read the messages. A banner at the top and a message at the bottom both confirm it.

They say: This project is archived. It stays on your computer and is hidden from the recent list. The chip now reads Idea · Archived and a Restore to Active button appears.

  3. The banner stays at the top of Home for as long as the project is archived.

It reads: This project is archived. Nothing is deleted. It is only hidden from your recent projects. It has a Restore to Active button.

  4. To bring it back, click the status chip and choose Archived (Restore to Active).

While the project is archived, that item restores it. You can also click Restore to Active in the banner.

  5. Read the confirmation: This project is back in your recent list.

The banner goes away and the chip shows the project's status again.

What you get

The project is hidden while archived and back in your recent list once restored.

Watch out for

  • You can also archive and restore from Application Home. See the Application Home tutorials.
