StoryboardsAdd panels to a storyboard
Add a panel from a picture file, a sketch, a pasted picture, or an empty frame.
Before you start
- A scene or storyboard is chosen in the picker.
Steps
Click Add Panel at the top right.
Add Panel is greyed out until a scene or storyboard is chosen. It opens a menu with three choices.
Click Import Image, Draw / Sketch or Empty Panel.
Import Image opens the Windows window for choosing a picture and adds it as a panel. Draw / Sketch opens the sketch tool, described in the next workflow. Empty Panel adds a panel with no picture yet, shown as Empty panel, so you can fill it later from its drawer. A message says Added panel followed by its number.
To add a picture from the clipboard, click the storyboard page and press Ctrl+V.
The pasted picture becomes the next panel. The grid shows the panels in order, here three panels under Scene 1, and the Add Panel tile at the end offers the same menu.
What you get
A new panel is at the end of the storyboard, numbered by its place.
Watch out for
- A panel needs only a visual area and a short description. You can leave the picture empty and add it later.
- If a picture cannot be read, the panel says Image unavailable. Open the panel and import the picture again.
