StoryboardsDescribe a panel and set its camera details
Add a description, framing, movement, angle, duration and notes to a panel, or change its picture.
Before you start
- The storyboard has at least one panel.
Steps
Click a panel, or select it and press Enter, to open its drawer.
The drawer is headed Storyboard panel and the panel number. Changes in a box are saved when you click out of it. Close shuts the drawer. Delete at the bottom removes the panel.
Type in Description, then fill in whichever of Framing, Camera movement, Angle, Dialogue / sound note and Storyboard note you need.
Description is a short line about what we see. Framing, Camera movement and Angle are free text that also suggest common choices as you type. Dialogue / sound note records what is heard, for example a phone ringing off screen. Storyboard note is for anything else about the panel.
Use Import Image…, Draw / Sketch… or Clear next to Visual to change the picture.
Import Image… and Draw / Sketch… replace the panel's picture. Clear turns the panel back into an empty panel. Clear only shows when the panel has a picture. A message tells you what changed.
Type the length of the panel in Duration (seconds), for example 3.5, and click out of the box.
The box takes a number of seconds. If you type something else, such as abc, the message Enter seconds between 0 and 3600. shows and the old duration is kept. Type a number to clear it.
What you get
The panel carries its description and camera details, and shows its description under its picture.
Watch out for
- Duration must be a number between 0 and 3600 seconds.
- A panel with no description shows Add a short description under its picture.
