StoryboardsDraw a sketch as a panel
Draw a simple frame with the built-in pen and save it as a panel.
Before you start
- A scene or storyboard is chosen in the picker.
Steps
Click Add Panel, then Draw / Sketch. The Draw / Sketch panel dialog opens.
The tools are Pen and Eraser, three ink colours (Black, Red and Blue), Undo and Clear. Pen and Black are selected when it opens. Undo, Clear and Save Panel are greyed out until you draw something. A note says: Basic sketching only. For polished art, import an image made elsewhere.
Drag with the mouse inside the white sketch area to draw. Click a colour to change ink, or click Eraser to rub out.
Choosing a colour switches back to the Pen. Undo takes back the last stroke. Clear wipes the whole sketch, so use Undo when you only want to take back one line.
Click Save Panel.
The sketch is added as a new panel. Cancel closes the dialog and keeps nothing.
What you get
Your sketch is a panel at the end of the storyboard.
Watch out for
- Clear removes everything you drew. Use Undo to take back one stroke.
- The sketch tool is basic. For finished artwork, use Import Image.
