Shooting scheduleTurn on strict validation and use Keep Anyway
Make the schedule ask before it keeps a change that creates a new warning.
Before you start
- A shooting schedule exists.
Steps
Open Schedule settings, tick Strict validation: ask before keeping a change that creates a warning, and click Save.
A note under the checkbox says: Warnings never block you by default. With strict validation, a change that creates a new warning needs an explicit “Keep Anyway”.
Look at the toolbar.
A purple Strict validation chip sits beside the warnings chip while the setting is on.
Move a scene so that it creates a warning, for example onto a day with a missing location.
The dialog This change creates a schedule warning names the problem, here Scene 14 on Shoot Day 5 is missing location information, and says: Strict validation is on for this schedule. Nothing was changed yet; the choice is yours. Click Keep Anyway to make the move, or Change the schedule instead to leave things as they were.
What you get
Changes that would add a warning wait for your say before they are kept.
Watch out for
- Strict validation never blocks you for good. Keep Anyway always lets the change through.
- Untick the box in Schedule settings to go back to the default, where warnings are shown but never ask.
