Shooting schedule

Review script changes

See what changed in the screenplay since you scheduled, and update the schedule's flags without moving anything.

Advanced3 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • The screenplay that is the Production Source has changed after the schedule was made.

Steps

  1. Look above the toolbar for a yellow bar that begins Script changed in N scenes.

It appears only when the production source has changed, and says: Your schedule has not been changed. Its Review changes button opens the list. A bar that says N new scenes in the script, or The production source changed, appears for new scenes or a new source. These bars are not in the picture, which shows a schedule with no changes.

  2. Click Review changes. Read the table, then click Update Schedule, or Close to decide later.

The dialog lists each affected scene with its number (Sc), heading, the kind of change and where it is scheduled. New scenes are listed as New scene and arrive in Unscheduled. If the source switched to another draft, a note names the new production source and says that scheduled scenes keep their days. Update Schedule only flags the changes. It never moves or deletes a scheduled scene.

  3. Open a flagged scene. A strip carries a chip: Script changed, New scene or Removed from script.

The panel shows the change in a bar. For a changed scene click Mark reviewed. For a scene removed from the script click Confirm removal, which takes it off the schedule. Until you confirm, a removed scene stays on its day, marked, and the warnings chip tells you.

What you get

Every change in the script is seen and settled by you, and your days stay as you set them.

Watch out for

  • Removed scenes stay in the schedule's history until you confirm their removal.
  • You can also find changed scenes with the filter Changed in the script.
