Shooting scheduleAdd an off day
Mark a date as a rest, travel or buffer day with a note, so it holds no scenes.
Before you start
- A shooting schedule exists.
Steps
Click Off Day in the toolbar.
Off Day opens the Add Off Day dialog.
Read the dialog. It has a Shooting date and a Note.
The date is optional, like on a shooting day. Note is where you write why the day is off.
Choose the date, for example 13 Nov 2026, type a note such as Travel and rest day, and click Add Off Day.
Add Off Day creates the day. Cancel and Close leave without adding it.
Look at the board.
The message reads Added an off day with Undo. A new column titled Off Day · Fri 13 Nov 2026 shows your note and the label Off day instead of a scene total. Off days take part in the calendar as OFF.
Click the off day's title to open it.
The page says Off day: no scenes, notes allowed. It still has Edit date, Add break and the Day notes box, which holds your note. There is no Create Call Sheet button on an off day.
What you get
The off day is on the schedule with its note, and cannot hold scenes.
Watch out for
- Dropping a scene on an off day is refused with the message: This is an off day. Change it back to a shooting day before adding scenes.
- To turn an off day into a shooting day, open its ... menu and choose Set as Shooting Day. A shooting day can become an off day only while it holds no scenes.
