SettingsChange a project's title, type and details
Edit the identity fields of the open project and save them.
Before you start
- A project is open and you are on the Project settings tab.
Steps
Look at the form. Title * and Type * are required. Language, Genre, Creator, Status, Logline and Project notes are optional.
Type offers Feature Film and Short Film. Status is a list: Idea, Development, Writing, Rewrite, Shooting Draft, Pre-Production, Shoot Preparation and Shooting. The empty boxes show Add later. A note under the form says: Everything here is optional except title and type. Language, genre and creator are reused on exported documents. Save is greyed out until you change something.
Type in a box, for example a Genre such as Rural drama, and a Logline of one or two sentences. Choose a different Type or Status from its list if you need to.
As soon as anything differs from what is saved, Save turns orange. Project notes is a larger box for things like the shoot window or budget limits. Titles can be up to 200 characters, Language and Genre 80, the Logline 1000.
If you clear the Title * box, the box turns red and the message A title is required. appears under it. Type a title again.
A project must always have a title. The change is not saved while the title is empty.
Click Save at the top right.
A message at the bottom says Updated project settings and offers Undo. If you changed Status, the new status is saved with the rest.
What you get
The project shows its new title, type and details, and exported documents reuse the language, genre and creator.
Watch out for
- Changing Type never deletes anything you have written.
- A change you have not saved is lost if you leave the tab. Click Save first.
