Windows tutorials › Application Home
Application HomeFind a project by name
Narrow the page to the projects that match what you type.
Before you start
- Application Home shows your projects.
Steps
Click the Search projects box, or press Ctrl+F or Ctrl+K, and start typing.
The box is at the top right of Your projects. Both Ctrl+F and Ctrl+K reach it.
Read the SEARCH RESULTS list.
The list shows only cards that match. In the picture, typing night leaves Night Bus. Click a card to open the project, or use the ... button for its menu.
If nothing matches, the page says No projects match followed by what you typed.
Check the spelling, or clear the box to see all projects again.
If the only match is archived, the page says 1 archived match and shows an Open Archived link. Click it to see the project.
Archived projects are not listed in the main results, but search tells you when one matches. See Restore an archived project.
What you get
You find and open the project you were looking for.
Watch out for
- Search on this page looks for projects by name. To search inside a project, open it and use the search box at the top. See the Project window and navigation tutorials.
