Files

Start with an empty Files page

Know what an empty project looks like and where to begin.

Beginner2 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • A project is open and no file has been added to it yet.

Steps

  1. Click Files in the left rail.

The page says Keep project documents and attachments here. Underneath: Contracts, permits, research, pitch decks: anything that belongs with this film. Drag files in, or add them. The folder panel shows All files 0 and Top level 0.

  2. Click Add File in the middle of the page, or Add File at the top right.

Both open the same Add File menu. The next two workflows show its two choices. New Folder at the top right makes a folder first, if you prefer to sort as you go.

What you get

You know where to add the first file.

Watch out for

  • Nothing is lost if the page is empty. Files you delete are in Recently Deleted for 30 days.
