Create a folder

Make a folder to keep related files together.

Beginner4 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • The Files page is open.

Steps

  1. Click New Folder at the top right.

If a folder is already selected, the new folder is made inside it. Otherwise it is made at the top level.

  2. In the New Folder dialog, click the Folder name * box.

The name is required. Cancel closes the dialog and creates nothing. The Create button is at the bottom right.

  3. Type a name, for example Tour Folder, and click Create.

Press Enter instead of clicking if you like.

  4. Look at the new folder in the panel.

The panel lists it with a count of 0 and it is selected. A message says Created folder “Tour Folder” with Undo. The page says: This folder is empty. Drag files onto it, or use Move to… on a file.

What you get

A new empty folder is selected, ready for files.

Watch out for

  • Click Undo in the message if you made the folder by mistake.
