BreakdownAsk for suggestions and accept or reject them
Let OpenFrame propose elements from a scene's text, then confirm the ones you want.
Before you start
- A scene is open.
Steps
Open a scene that has nothing broken down, then click Suggest Elements.
A scene with no elements says: Nothing broken down yet. Select words in the script to tag them, add an element, or ask for suggestions. While OpenFrame works, the button reads Suggesting…. A message then tells you how many suggestions to review and that nothing is added to production until you accept. If nothing is new, it says No new suggestions. Review the pending ones. or No likely elements found. You can still tag text or add elements manually.
Look at the panel. Each suggestion is a striped yellow row under its category.
A row shows the Suggested chip, the name with (suggested) after it, and matched: followed by the words in the script that triggered it. In the script those words have a dashed yellow underline. In the scene list the row gains an amber chip such as 8 suggested.
Click Accept on a suggestion you want.
The element becomes confirmed in the scene and is linked to the production catalog: to an existing item when the match is obvious, or to a new item. A message says Accepted and the name, with an Undo link. If the catalog holds similar items, Accept opens a chooser instead. See Edit a suggestion or choose a catalog item.
Click Reject on a suggestion you do not want.
The row disappears and a message says it will not be suggested again for this scene. Use Undo if you rejected the wrong one.
What you get
The scene lists the elements you accepted, and the rejected ones will not come back.
Watch out for
- Suggestions are not production data. Until you accept them they do not reach the catalog, the schedule or any export that leaves them out.
- Suggestions come from the words of the scene. Always read the matched text before you accept.
