Breakdown

Filter the scene list

Show only the scenes you want to work on, by status or by category.

Beginner4 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • The project has a Production Source.

Steps

  1. Click Filter at the top right of the scene list.

The menu has two parts. The top part filters by status and shows a count for each: All scenes, Only unreviewed, Only suggested, Only missing a breakdown, Script changed, Complete and Not complete. A tick marks the filter in use. A line then separates Any category and the eleven categories, Cast to Animals.

  2. Choose Only suggested.

The list keeps only scenes with suggestions waiting. The chip beside Scenes changes to 4 of 36 and the Filter button shows the name of the filter. Only unreviewed also includes scenes that need review after a script change. Only missing a breakdown shows scenes with no confirmed element that are not marked complete. Not complete shows every scene that is not marked complete.

  3. Open the menu again and choose a category, for example Props.

Only scenes that have that category stay in the list, and the Filter button names the category. A status and a category can be on together. The button then shows both, joined by a dot. The count line, for example 1 of 36 complete, always counts the whole Production Source.

  4. If the page says No scenes match this filter., open the menu and choose All scenes and Any category.

The list says No scenes match this filter. and the middle of the page says Choose another filter, or show all scenes. In the picture the Script changed filter finds nothing because no scene has changed. The source bar loses its Scene n of 36 part while no scene is open.

What you get

The list shows only the scenes that match, and you can return to all scenes at any time.

Watch out for

  • OpenFrame remembers your last filter on this computer. If Breakdown opens with fewer scenes than you expect, look at the Filter button.
