Screenplay

Add columns to the scene list

Show the page, notes, revision and production number of every scene next to its heading.

Beginner2 stepsMac

Before you start

  • A screenplay with scenes is open.

Steps

  1. Click Columns above the scene list.

The menu offers Page, Notes, Revision and Production number. Choose one to show that column.

  2. Look at the list after you turn on Page and Notes.

The list gains a column per choice: # for the scene number, Page for the page where the scene starts (1 to 4 in this script), and Notes. Revision only has values in a revision draft, and Production number has values after a draft is locked; until then it shows none yet.

What you get

The scene list shows the extra information you picked.

Watch out for

  • With the extra columns on, the scene headings get less room and are cut shorter. Turn a column off in the same menu.
