Schedule

Read and answer the warnings

See what the Schedule thinks may go wrong, and decide what to do about each item.

Intermediate3 stepsMac

Before you start

  • Scenes are placed in days.

Steps

  1. Click the warnings button in the toolbar, for example 3 warnings.

The count updates as you schedule. A day with warnings shows a badge with the number, and affected strips show a triangle.

  2. Read Schedule assistance, Practical observations.

Each card names one issue. In the picture: Potential actor conflict: Kiran is needed at two locations on Shoot Day 1, and scenes with missing location information. A line explains the fix, for example: Confirm a location with an address in Breakdown or Locations. Missing values are never invented.

  3. For each card, click Open affected item, Move scene (you decide), Keep anyway or Dismiss.

Open affected item goes to the scene. Move scene (you decide) lets you pick another day yourself. Keep anyway accepts the situation. Dismiss closes the card. The panel ends with: Warnings never block you and nothing is fixed automatically. Close closes the panel.

What you get

You have looked at every warning and decided what to do about it.

Watch out for

  • A warning is advice, not an error. You can keep a schedule that has warnings.
  • With strict validation turned on in Settings, a change that makes a new warning asks you to confirm with Keep Anyway. See Change the schedule settings.
