Add an image to a moodboard

Put a picture from a file or from the Idea Vault onto the board.

Beginner4 stepsMac

Before you start

  • A moodboard is open.

Steps

  1. Click Add Image on the board toolbar.

The menu offers From File… and From Idea Vault…. You can also copy an image and press Command V on the board to paste it.

  2. Choose From File… to pick a picture from your Mac.

A file window opens for you to choose the image. The picture is added as a tile on the canvas.

  3. Choose From Idea Vault….

The sheet is titled Add image from the Idea Vault. A pop-up switches between Project Idea Vault and Global Idea Vault. It says: The image is copied onto the board; the vault item is not changed. When there is nothing to pick, it says There are no images in this Idea Vault yet.

  4. Choose an image, or click Cancel.

Cancel closes the sheet without adding anything.

What you get

The image sits on the board as a tile you can move.

Watch out for

  • Images from the vault are copies. Changing the board never changes the vault item.
