Production Plan

Arrange and edit moodboard items

Move tiles, change their stacking order, add captions and edit a note or a link.

Intermediate5 stepsMac

Before you start

  • A board has at least one item.

Steps

  1. Click a tile to select it. Drag it to move it.

Shift-click to select several tiles, and use the arrow keys to nudge. A bar above the canvas appears with a Caption: why this matters box and the buttons To Front, To Back, Edit and Delete.

  2. Click To Front or To Back.

To Front puts the tile over the others. To Back puts it under them. Use these when tiles overlap.

  3. Control-click a tile.

The menu offers Edit…, Bring to Front, Send to Back, Open Link and Delete. Open Link appears for a link tile and opens its web address.

  4. Choose Edit… on a link tile.

The inspector is headed MOODBOARD ITEM and shows Link, Web address, Title and Caption. The Caption box says: Optional. A short note on why this matters.

  5. Choose Edit… on a note tile.

The inspector shows the note text, the internal check box and a Caption. Change the text, or tick or untick Internal, and the tile updates.

What you get

The tiles sit where you want them, with captions that say why each one matters.

Watch out for

  • Delete on a tile removes only that item from the board.
