Production PlanOpen a catalog item and change its details
Rename an item, change its status, and keep notes and a private contact.
Before you start
- The Catalog has at least one item.
Steps
Control-click an item in the table.
The menu offers Open, Open Scenes, Archive… and Delete…. Open Scenes shows the scenes that use the item.
Choose Open, or just click the row.
The inspector opens, headed CATALOG ITEM with the item's name. It has Name, Category, Status, Description, Notes and Contact / reference. A note under Contact / reference says it is private: visible to Owners and Editors only, never shared with OpenFrame AI or put in exports. At the bottom are Delete, Archive and Open Scenes. Click the Status pop-up to choose Required, Searching, Shortlisted, Confirmed or Not Required, and follow the item from needed to found.
Click Notes and type, for example, Borrowed from the depot, return by Friday.
Notes are saved as you type. The inspector also has an Image section with Add Image, for a picture of the item.
What you get
The item shows its new status and notes in the inspector and the table.
Watch out for
- Put phone numbers and private details in Contact / reference, not in Notes. Contact / reference is private to Owners and Editors.
