PackagesReview a package you were sent and send back comments
Open a review package, add comments on scenes and export a response for the author.
Before you start
- You have a review package file, for example a .ofscriptreview.
Steps
Choose File > Open Review Package… and pick the file.
The review window opens. The draft name and its scenes are listed at the left, each with its number and heading. The middle shows the Scene text. At the right, Comments shows Comments on Scene 1 and says No comments on this scene yet. Export Response Package and Close review are at the top.
Click a scene in the list to read it.
Use Quote selection to add the text you have selected to your comment, so the author can see exactly what you mean.
Click in the Comment box and type your comment.
Under the box it says Command+Return to add. Add a comment is the button.
Press Command+Return, or click Add a comment.
The comment is listed under the scene, and the scene in the list shows a small number for its comments.
Click Export Response Package and choose where to save the file.
A message says Response package exported with 1 comment. The window says: Response package exported. Send it back to the author. Show in folder reveals the .ofresponse file.
Click Close review when you are finished.
The review window closes. Your comments are in the response file you exported.
What you get
A .ofresponse file with your comments, ready to send back.
Watch out for
- Opening a review package does not change your own project. It opens as a read and comment window.
- Export the response before you close the review, so your comments are in a file.
