PackagesExport a full project to move it to another Mac
Make a Full Project Package of your whole working project.
Before you start
- A project is open.
Steps
Choose File > Export Full Project….
The window says a Full Project Package moves your whole working project to another Mac. It is not a review package and not a PDF collection.
Read the Included in the package list.
It names Idea Vault (project), Beat Board, Characters, Timeline, Screenplay drafts, reviews and comments, Breakdown, Catalog, Locations, Cast & Crew, Moodboards, Storyboards, Shot Lists, Schedule, Call Sheets, Sides, Notes, Tasks, Activity and Project Files, each with a count where it applies. Private notes are included because this is for you, not for outside reviewers.
Tick Copy linked external files into the package if you linked files from outside the project.
Linked files are then copied in, and the number beside the tick box tells you how many. Leave it unticked to keep only stored files.
Click Export Project Package… and choose where to save the .ofproject file.
Cancel closes the window without exporting.
Read Project package exported.
It says how many stored files were included and the size, and tells you to open it on the other Mac with Open Project Package…. Show in folder reveals the file. Close finishes.
What you get
A .ofproject file you can copy to another Mac.
Watch out for
- A Full Project Package includes your private notes. Do not send it to a reviewer. Use a review package for that.
