Idea VaultAdd an image, a file, an audio file or a video
Put a picture, a document, a sound or a clip from your Mac into the vault.
Before you start
- The Idea Vault is open. The file is on your Mac.
Steps
Click Add and choose Image…, File…, Audio File… or Video….
The three dots after a name mean a window opens to choose the file. Image… is for pictures, File… for any other document, Audio File… for a sound you already have, and Video… for a clip.
In the window that opens, choose the file on your Mac and confirm.
This is the standard Mac window for choosing a file. The item is added to the vault as a card. Search finds it by its file name.
What you get
The file is added to the vault as a card.
Watch out for
- Use Audio / Voice Note… to record a new voice note instead of choosing a file. See Record a voice note.
