Idea VaultRecord a voice note
Speak an idea and keep the recording exactly as you made it.
Before you start
- The Idea Vault is open. Your Mac has a microphone.
Steps
Click Record Note in the toolbar, or open Add and choose Audio / Voice Note….
Both open the same Record Note sheet. On an empty vault there is also a Record Note button in the middle of the page.
Read the Record Note sheet.
A timer reads 0:00 and says Press Start Recording when you are ready. Name (optional) says Leave blank to keep it untitled. A line under it says The recording is always kept exactly as recorded. The buttons are Cancel, Start Recording and Stop & Save. Stop & Save is greyed out until you start.
Type a name if you want one, then click Start Recording and speak.
The timer counts while you record. Click Stop & Save when you are done to add the recording to the vault. Cancel closes the sheet without saving.
What you get
The recording is in the vault as an item, kept exactly as recorded.
Watch out for
- If your Mac asks whether OpenFrame may use the microphone, allow it, or the recording cannot start.
