Export a copy or show a file in Finder

Take a file out of the project, or find it on disk.

Before you start

  • A file is selected.

Steps

  1. In the details panel, click Export Copy… and choose where to save.

    Export Copy… saves a copy of the file and leaves the project's own copy in place.

  2. Click Reveal in Finder.

    Finder opens with the file selected. For a stored file this is the copy inside the project folder.

What you get

You have a copy outside the project, or you can see the file in Finder.

Watch out for

  • Do not rename or delete files inside the project folder in Finder. Use Files in OpenFrame for that.
