FilesDelete a file and get it back
Remove a file from the project and know that you can restore it.
Before you start
- The project has a file.
Steps
Choose Delete from the file's menu, or click Delete in the details panel.
Both do the same thing.
Read the message at the bottom.
It says Moved “Bus depot at night.png” to Recently Deleted. The file disappears from the list and the counts go down. Click Undo in the message to bring it back at once.
To restore it later, open Recently Deleted. See the Recently Deleted tutorials.
Deleted items stay for 30 days.
What you get
The file is out of Project Files and waiting in Recently Deleted.
Watch out for
- Delete moves a file to Recently Deleted. It is removed for good only after 30 days or when you choose Delete Permanently there.
