Before you start
- The project has a folder.
Steps
Right-click the folder in the folders panel, or Control-click it.
The menu has Rename Folder and Delete Folder…. The Rename and Delete buttons under the panel do the same.
Choose Rename Folder, change the name and click Rename.
The sheet is called Rename Folder and holds the current name in the Folder name box. Cancel leaves the name as it was.
To delete, choose Delete Folder….
A confirmation asks Delete folder “References”? It says: Files and folders inside it move to the top level. No files are deleted. The folder goes to Recently Deleted. Click Delete Folder to confirm, or Cancel.
What you get
The folder has its new name, or it is gone and its files are at the top level.
Watch out for
- Deleting a folder never deletes the files inside it. They move to Top level.
- A deleted folder can be restored from Recently Deleted.
