Story and Beat BoardWrite your story on the Story page
Write and format free text about your story, in a page that is not linked to anything else.
Before you start
- A project is open on the Story tab.
Steps
Click the white page and start writing.
A new page is empty. The footer reads 0 words and Saved. The page says Start writing your story here. It saves by itself as you write.
Use the formatting row above the page.
Font size sets the size, from 8 to 72. Bold (Ctrl+B), Italic (Ctrl+I) and Underline (Ctrl+U) work on the selected text. The Highlight button (Ctrl+Shift+H) puts on the colour last used. Font size can also be changed with Ctrl+[ and Ctrl+]. The footer counts your words and shows Saved.
Click the small arrow beside Highlight to pick a colour.
The choices are Highlight yellow, green, blue, pink, orange and purple, and No highlight to take it off.
Click the small arrow beside Underline to pick a colour.
The choices are Underline text colour, red, blue, green, orange and purple, and No underline.
Click the moon button, Dark page, at the right of the formatting row.
The page turns dark so you can write at night. The button then reads Light page. Zoom out and Zoom in, or Ctrl with the mouse wheel, change how big the page looks. Click the percentage to go back to 100%.
What you get
Your story text is written, formatted and saved.
Watch out for
- The Story page is separate from the Beat Board and the screenplay. Text you write here does not change them.
- OpenFrame AI cannot read or change the Story page.
