Check that the offline AI is ready

Read the status of OpenFrame AI and open its technical details.

Beginner2 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • A project is open and you are on the Offline AI tab.

Steps

  1. Read the OFFLINE AI card.

A green chip says AI Ready when OpenFrame AI can answer. The text says: OpenFrame AI runs on this computer after a one-time download. Your project data is not sent to OpenFrame or to an AI cloud service. The card ends with: OpenFrame works normally without OpenFrame AI. Other states you may see are Not downloaded, Checking its files…, Needs a new download, Needs a reinstall and Not available on this computer. When it is not downloaded the page offers the download. OpenFrame AI tutorials walks through it.

  2. Click TECHNICAL DETAILS to open it. Click it again to close it.

A table lists each component with its Licence and Size: the AI engine, the language model and two search models, each with its version. A note names the licence of the language model. Below the table are lines showing the package, whether the files are checked, how much memory and which processor this computer has, where the engine is installed and the log file. The last line says: Everything runs on this computer. Prompts, project text and answers are never sent anywhere. The only network use is the model download you start.

What you get

You know whether OpenFrame AI is ready and what it is made of.

Watch out for

  • OpenFrame AI is optional. If it is not ready, every other part of OpenFrame still works.
