Screenplay

Switch to another draft

Open an older or newer draft to read it or to carry on writing in it.

Beginner3 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • The screenplay has at least two drafts.

Steps

  1. Click the draft name next to the screenplay name.

The menu lists the drafts, with the current one marked, for example Second Draft · Current, and the others, for example Example-Feature (imported). Click a name to open that draft. Drafts… opens the Drafts drawer and New Draft… starts a new draft.

  2. Look at the page after you open the older draft.

The draft name in the toolbar changes and the script shows that draft's text. Comments shows no number because this draft has no open comments. Opening a draft does not make it the current one.

  3. Open the menu again and click the draft you were working in to go back.

To change which draft is the current one, use Mark current in the Drafts drawer.

What you get

You are in the draft you picked.

Watch out for

  • Check the draft name in the toolbar before you start typing, so your changes go into the draft you meant.
