Production Plan: overview and catalog

Export the Catalog

Save a snapshot of the Catalog as a spreadsheet or a printable file.

Beginner3 stepsWindows

Before you start

  • The Catalog has items.

Steps

  1. Click Export at the top right of the Catalog.

Export sits beside Add Item. It does not change your project.

  2. In the Export Catalog dialog, choose Excel (XLSX), CSV or PDF.

The dialog says the export is a snapshot, not a live connection to the Catalog, and names its source: Catalog and the active Production Source. Excel (XLSX) gives one sheet per table, CSV is spreadsheet-friendly text and PDF is printable. A line shows the suggested file name, with the project name, Catalog and today's date.

  3. Click Export… and choose where to save the file in the Windows window that opens.

A purple note says Private notes excluded. Export creates a snapshot and does not change your project. Cancel closes the dialog.

What you get

You have a file with the Catalog as it was at that moment.

Watch out for

  • Private notes are left out of the export.
  • The file does not update when the Catalog changes. Export again for a new snapshot.
