Production Plan: overview and catalogDelete a catalog item
Remove an item and know exactly what happens to the scenes that used it.
Before you start
- You have thought about Archive first.
Steps
Right-click the item and choose the red Delete…. You can also click Delete in the drawer footer.
Nothing is deleted until you confirm in the next dialog.
Read the Delete “Soldering iron”? dialog, then click Delete.
It says the item moves to Recently Deleted for 30 days. The breakdown of each scene that used it keeps its entry, marked Catalog item removed, until you restore the item. Used in lists those scenes. For an item in use it adds: Archiving is usually the better choice. Cancel keeps the item.
What you get
The item leaves the Catalog. A message says it was deleted and can be restored from Recently Deleted, with an Undo link.
Watch out for
- Delete is not permanent for 30 days. Restore the item from Recently Deleted if you change your mind.
- Archive is the better choice for an item that scenes still use.
