Application HomeCreate another project from Your projects
Add a new project when you already have projects on the page.
Before you start
- At least one project exists, so Application Home is titled Your projects.
Steps
Click New Project at the top right, or press Ctrl+N.
New Project is the orange button. Its tooltip shows the shortcut, Ctrl+N. The page also has Open Project (Ctrl+O), Restore Backup or Package… and a Search projects box.
The New Project dialog opens. Type a title in the Title * box.
The dialog is the same as the one for your first project. Feature Film is selected when it opens.
If you click out of the box with nothing typed, A title is required. appears and Create stays greyed out.
Type a title to clear the message.
Choose Feature Film or Short Film under Type *.
The picture shows Harbor Light with Short Film chosen.
Open OPTIONAL DETAILS if you want to fill in Language, Genre or Creator, or pick a different folder with Change…. Then click Create.
Language, Genre and Creator are optional. They are reused on documents you export, and you can fill them in later in Project settings. The project is created and opens on its Home page.
What you get
The new project opens, and a card for it appears on Application Home the next time you return.
Watch out for
- Create does nothing until the title is filled in.
