StoryWrite your story on the Story page
Write a free-form version of your story in a plain page that belongs only to you.
Before you start
- A project is open.
Steps
Click Story in the sidebar, then click Story in the bar across the top.
The page is titled Story and says: Write your story freely. This page is not linked to anything else. The formatting bar sits above a white page, and the foot shows 0 words. Nothing here feeds the Beat Board, the screenplay or the breakdown, so write it however you like: a pitch, a treatment, a few paragraphs.
Click the page and start typing.
The word count at the foot follows you as you type. In the picture the page holds one line and the count reads 5 words. Your text saves as you write.
Keep writing. Press Return to start a new paragraph.
The page can hold as much text as you need. The foot shows the word count on the left and Saved on the right once your text is stored. The picture shows three short paragraphs and 67 words.
What you get
Your story is written on the Story page, saved with the project.
Watch out for
- The Story page is separate from the Beat Board. Changing the page does not change any card, and changing cards does not change the page.
