StorySee which scenes a character appears in
Use the directory to check where each character appears in the screenplay.
Before you start
- The project has characters, and ideally a screenplay.
Steps
Look at the list of characters on the left.
Each row shows an initial, the name, the role and a pill such as 6 scenes. The number at the top, next to Characters, is how many characters there are. Click a row to see that character on the right.
Click a character that appears in the screenplay.
Under Scenes this character appears in the page lists each scene by number and heading, for example Scene 1: INT. KESARGANJ JUNCTION - LOST PROPERTY OFFICE - NIGHT.
Click a character that no scene mentions.
The page says No screenplay scenes mention this character yet, and that scenes appear when the current draft has dialogue cues with this name. The pill reads 0 scenes.
What you get
You know where each character appears.
Watch out for
- Scenes are found from the dialogue cues in the current draft. A character who is only named in action text shows 0 scenes.
