StoryEdit a beat: text, note, colour and attachments
Add a note, a colour and reference files to a beat.
Before you start
- The Beat Board has a beat.
Steps
Control-click a beat and choose Open.
The beat menu lists Open, Convert to Scene, Duplicate, Move…, Move Up, Move Down, Move to Previous Act, Move to Next Act, Send to Parking Lot and Delete.
In the inspector, edit Beat text and add a Note (optional).
The panel says BEAT CARD and shows the sequence the beat sits in. Beat text is the beat itself. Note (optional) is a place for anything extra.
Under Colour (optional), click None or one of the nine colours: yellow, orange, red, pink, purple, blue, teal, green or gray.
A colour helps you tell beats apart on a busy board.
Under Attachments, click Attach… to add a reference file.
The panel says attachments are reference material only and never become production assets automatically. You can attach up to 50 per card.
What you get
The beat has a note, a colour and any reference files you attached.
Watch out for
- Attachments are for reference. They do not appear in the production plan.
