Go back to an earlier point with Recovery History

Create a new draft from an automatic recovery point.

Advanced2 stepsMac

Before you start

  • The Drafts sheet is open.

Steps

  1. Look at Recovery History under the draft list.

It lists points in time for the current draft, for example Today 3:04 AM: draft created, 10 scenes. Each has a Restore the point button.

  2. Click Restore the point on the entry you want.

The sheet explains: Automatic history is for recovery. It is not a deliverable draft. Restoring creates a new draft; nothing is replaced.

What you get

A new draft with the script as it was at that point exists. Nothing was overwritten.

Watch out for

  • Recovery History is a safety net, not a place to keep versions on purpose. Use New Draft for that.
