ScreenplayUse Focus Mode, Writing Room Mode and the dark page
Cut the screen down to the page, or change the page to a dark background.
Before you start
- A screenplay is open.
Steps
Click Screenplay Tools and point at Layout.
Layout opens a submenu of ways to arrange the screen. Dark page, one row above Layout, is a switch on its own.
Choose Focus Mode in the Layout submenu.
Only the page stays. A small bar at the top right shows the draft name (Example-Short (imported)), Exit Focus and Saved. Click Exit Focus to return.
Choose Writing Room Mode in the Layout submenu.
The page opens with the Scene inspector beside it, showing the Scene Hub of the scene you are in. The bar and the scene list stay. Use Hide Inspector in Screenplay Tools to close the panel again.
Choose Dark page in Screenplay Tools.
The page turns dark, with light text. The menu item now reads Light page; choose it to go back to the white page.
What you get
The screen is arranged the way you prefer for writing.
Watch out for
- In Focus Mode the bar is gone. Use Exit Focus at the top right to get it back.
