ScreenplayUnderstand the Draft menu of a new screenplay
See what the Draft menu offers before you have a second draft.
Before you start
- A new screenplay is open.
Steps
Click the Draft menu.
Only the first draft, Draft 1, is listed, followed by New Draft…, Manage Drafts… and Renumber Scenes.
Choose a draft in the list to open it.
Choosing the draft you are already in changes nothing. Renumber Scenes gives the scenes fresh numbers in order.
What you get
You know the three actions of the Draft menu.
Watch out for
- Renumber Scenes changes scene numbers. Do not use it on a script already being shot; use a revision instead.
