Open one shooting day

See everything about one day on a single page.

Beginner5 stepsMac

Before you start

  • A shooting day with scenes exists.

Steps

  1. Click Actions on the day and choose Open day details.

The day opens on its own page. Back to schedule returns you to the Board, List or Calendar.

  2. Read the top of the page.

The title shows the day and date, with the question: What exactly are we doing on this day? Edit date, Add break and Actions are on the right. Yellow bars list the warnings for the day, for example Potential actor conflict and missing location information.

  3. Read the list of scenes and breaks.

Each scene shows its number, INT or EXT with time of day, location, first line, cast initials and page count, with an Actions menu. Breaks appear as grey bands. Under the list, Total estimate, the count of scenes without an estimate and the pages total sit beside Export and Create Call Sheet.

  4. Read the panel on the right, Derived from the scenes.

Locations and Cast are collected from the scenes. Estimated duration shows the total against the target, for example 45m of 10h target. Day target length lets this day use a different target than the schedule. Empty means the schedule default.

  5. Click Create Call Sheet to start a call sheet for the day, or click Export to save the day as a file.

Create Call Sheet makes a call sheet from this shooting day. Export is covered in Export the schedule or one day.

What you get

You can see the scenes, locations, cast, warnings and totals for the day together.

Watch out for

  • Locations and cast shown here come from the scenes and the Breakdown. To change them, use Open in Breakdown on a scene.
