Production PlanLink a panel to a shot
Tie a panel to a shot in the shot list, or create the shot from the panel.
Before you start
- A panel exists on a scene storyboard.
Steps
Control-click a panel and choose Link Shot….
Link Shot… ties the panel to a shot from the shot list. The same choice is available from a shot, with Attach Storyboard… and Create Storyboard Panel.
Create a new shot from the panel.
The inspector now heads the panel as Panel 1, Shot 1A. A message says Created shot 1A, with Undo and Dismiss. The shot takes the panel's description, framing and duration.
Look at the grid.
The linked panel shows a badge with its shot number, for example 1A, and its description. Panel numbers and shot numbers follow the order automatically if you drag panels.
What you get
The panel and the shot are linked, and both show the shot number.
Watch out for
- Linking is optional. A panel needs only a visual area and a short description.
