Add a person from Add Person and create a character

Steps

1. Click Add Person at the top left of Cast & Crew.

   The same Add Person sheet opens. Before you choose a character, Assign is off. Characters that already have an actor show played by and the actor's name.

2. Type the person's name, for example Dev Malhotra, and click the character, for example DEVI.

   Click a character's radio button to choose it. The row shows how many scenes the character is in.

3. For a character the script does not have yet, type its name under Create a new character, for example THE STATION MASTER, then click Assign.

   The note under the box says: For a character that isn't in the script yet. Use it only for characters that are not already listed.

4. Look at the list.

   Each actor shows with the character they play and the number of scenes. A new character that is not in any scene shows 0. A message says, for example, Rhea Kapoor plays THE STATION MASTER.
