Idea VaultAdd a note and write in the inspector
Create a note with an optional title and as much text as you like.
Before you start
- The Idea Vault is open.
Steps
Click Add, then choose Note. On an empty vault you can click Add Note in the middle of the page instead.
A new note is created at once and opens in the inspector.
Look at the inspector. The heading says Note and shows Untitled note.
Pin, Move and Copy to Global Vault are at the top. Title (optional) is a single line that shows Untitled note until you type. Note is the large text box, which says Write anything…. Under it, Saved automatically means you do not save by hand, and Added today · Modified today tells you when it was made. Below that are the Research flag and, further down, Collections and Tags. Delete and Send to Story are at the bottom.
Type your text in the Note box. Add a title in Title (optional) if you want one.
The picture shows a note whose text is A bus that never reaches its stop. A card in the items area updates as you type. When there is no title, the card uses the first words of the note.
Click Close at the top right of the inspector.
The note stays in the vault. Click its card whenever you want to open it again.
What you get
A note card is in the vault with the text you wrote.
Watch out for
- A note with no text and no title shows as Untitled note. Open it and type, or delete it.
